Terms of Service

FilerAI is operated by a solo founder ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you ("customer", "you") agree to these terms. Read carefully. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

FilerAI is a document filing tool that uses AI to extract metadata from paperwork you upload or forward. We store your files, make them searchable, and surface compliance alerts like expiring warranties or permits that need follow-up.

Your content

• You own your documents and their contents. We don't claim any rights to them.
• You grant us a limited license to process your docs through AI extraction solely to provide the service.
• We use AI providers in Zero Data Retention mode. They do not train on or store your data.
• You can export or delete everything anytime.

Acceptable use

Don't use FilerAI to:

• Upload content you don't have rights to
• Violate any law (including EPA regulations, which are the customer's responsibility, not ours)
• Attempt to break, abuse, or scrape the service
• Resell FilerAI without written permission

Compliance disclaimer

Important: FilerAI's compliance features (permit expiry alerts, warranty tracking, EPA 608 log export, rebate flags) are organizational tools only. They do not constitute legal, financial, or regulatory advice. You remain solely responsible for your regulatory compliance, record retention, EPA reporting, and warranty claims. Double-check everything before submitting to any authority.

Billing

• Paid plans renew monthly. Cancel anytime from your account.
• No refunds for partial months, but we won't charge you again after cancellation.
• Founding-tier pricing ($49/mo) is locked for 24 months from your first successful payment. After that, it converts to the regular tier.
• Taxes may apply in your jurisdiction.
• Failed payment: we'll retry a few times, then pause your account. Your data stays available to export for 90 days.

Uptime, warranties, and liability

We work hard to keep FilerAI running but don't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Shutdown policy

If we ever wind down the service, you get at least 90 days notice and an automatic export of every doc and metadata record. Your data is yours, not ours to hostage.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes = acceptance.
